Welcome! My name is Caroline Magyar and I am the founder of Empowered Ellie Foundation. Our family has been on quite the medical odyssey with our beautiful daughter, Ellie. With each experience and bump in the road, two constants have always remained: the isolation the comes with being a medical family and the community we have worked to build that has carried us through some of our toughest moments. Our foundation was created to bring community together to raise awareness about rare diseases and support pediatric patients and their families. We know that we cannot fix everything in our broken healthcare system, but we do hope that with each book, card, or outreach project, that you feel a little less alone and know that there are so many people that care about you and your experience.

When you feel support from the community, you feel more confident and empowered. This empowerment helps parents be a better advocate for their children and it helps children to be able to learn how to advocate for themselves one day.
